Coronavirus 2020

UPDATED: May 9, 2020

Dear Church Family,

As you know, the Director of the Ohio Department of Health has issued a stay-at-home order to help combat the spread of COVID-19. Although religious gatherings remain exempt from the order, our leadership team has agreed that we can best love our neighbor by cooperating with the state-wide efforts.

We came to this decision neither out of fear of the virus nor out of worry for our rights. Instead, we are motivated by a desire to be good neighbors. We want to demonstrate love to those around us who are at an increased risk. We believe that the best way to love our community right now is to minimize the risk of spreading this disease by extending our voluntary suspension of all church gatherings of more than 10 people until further notice.

What's Next?

In this time of unprecedented change and fear, I want to encourage you to keep living out our mission: To help every man, woman, and child embrace the grace of God in Jesus & extend that grace to their world.

  • Keep Worshiping - Embrace God’s grace by reading your Bible 20 minutes, praying for 20 minutes, and sharing the Gospel with yourself every day. Check your inbox each Sunday morning at 9:00 AM for resources to help you worship the Lord in your home, including a Bible message you can watch using the church website.

  • Keep Giving - Please continue your faithful giving. Our ministry to one another and to the community is not ceasing, it’s just changing format for a few weeks. We need your help to continue when things return to normal. And they WILL return to normal! You can still mail your check to the office or give electronically at whcma.org/give.

  • Keep Reaching Out - Be careful and be smart, but keep extending God’s grace by praying for open doors and sharing the Gospel with people who are desperate for hope! This is a time for our church to spread out in accomplishing the mission.

I look forward to the time when we can all gather together again and share all that God has done in and through us during this strange time. To view our tentative plan for re-opening, visit whcma.org/reopen.

And please remember, you are loved!
